Profane has recently announced the return of its playtests on October 18th, 2023, in their latest Discord announcement. The game's developers recently shared the exciting news on their Discord channel, revealing that the tests are set to commence in 2023. Players eager to dive into the world of Profane can now sign up to participate.

The first playtest is scheduled for October 18th, exclusively for the Brazilian community. Following that, the North American community will have their turn on October 25th. The selection and confirmation of participants will begin next week, with more details to be shared soon according to the team at INSANE Game Studio. Those interested can sign up through the provided form. Furthermore, the developers have hinted at weekly tests, ensuring numerous opportunities for players to join in later on.

For those unfamiliar with the game, Profane is a sandbox MMORPG that promises a living world filled with dynamic adventures, NPC factions, and a largely player-driven world. The game boasts a skill-based combat system, allowing players to explore various combat styles, which players will need to become proficient in as the game is decidedly (as of this article) a full-loot PvP game. The game also features an open building system, which will allow Profane players to construct anything from houses to entire cities, and battle to claim lands, set laws, and even collect taxes.

Before signing up for the tests, players are reminded on the application form that the test build is a very early version of the game. Obvioulsy, this is meant to manage expectations, as players will be specifically testing to encounter bugs and other unusual situations and report it to the developers. Those not interested in helping with this phase of testing are advised to wait for future tests when the game will concievably be in a betters state. All selected participants will also be required to agree to a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA).
