Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis is preparing for a big June ahead. Sega has announced Nameless City, a new area to accompany Chapter 7, new weapons and enemies, a new quest, new Creative Space options, and a special Sonic collaboration.
The update hits on June 5th and adds Chapter 7 of the main story. As you make progress through Leciel’s investigation, you’ll find yourself in a new area, the Nameless City. This new area is a big concrete city with incredibly advanced tech, and you’ll meet new protagonists who will impact the adventure. The protagonists here are supposed to go meet Pharia, who “seems…a bit off” according to a press release announcement.
Nameless City Exploration is the new quest type accompanying the update. As you explore the new city, you’ll collect Exploration Points and open chests. There's a time limit to explore the field, and you will also be able to get points by unlocking unlock signs around the field. the more points you earn, the lower your defense becomes and if you get incapacitated your points are reduced by half. The goal is to go around the field opening chests and getting special items so you can earn as many rewards as possible.
With a new zone, new enemies will be there to discover, along with new weapons, including the new 11-star Rarity Eredemin weapon series. Some of the new enemies includeStarless boss enemies. There are also a number of new limited time tasks and title tasks.
Creative Space gets new Far Eastern themes and new Build Parts. Expect Japanese style buildings with build parts, cherry blossoms, clouds and some ARKS ID backgrounds. Expect a new Avatar items, portable holograms, adventure wear, and more things like tea sets or auras.
Finally, on June 12th, Sonic the Hedgehog’s 33rd birthday celebration offers a special quest in Retem. Head to Central City, gather some rings and chaos emeralds, earn points, enhance your abilities and take on some enemies for rewards.
