In 7.7, Star Wars: The Old Republic Will Get Two New Story Updates, Eras Feature, and Many Improvements

The Legacy of the Sith storyline continues in Star Wars: The Old Republic Update 7.7. The team previewed the update, new story content, new rewards, improved customization, and a number of other improvements.

At the recent Star Wars Celebration, Broadsword released a teaser featuring Darth Malgus hinting at his next plans, Which you'll get a chance to investigate and try to uncover what his next move is in Galactic Threads,  the next story chapter. Seek Malgus and Shae Viizla and investigate the looming threats and the mystery of Darth Nul’s holocron.

Master’s Enigma follows the events of Galactic Threads, and that holocron  will require a deeper investigation. We’ll also discover a mysterious puppet master type figure who has been pulling some strings. 

Both of these story updates are on the way, and the team will announce just when we will get each of them.

Also coming is the Eras Window, a major UI update that can serve as a guide and an overview showing content from launch to the present day categorized into eras. Check out each era and see where you've gotten with each character in a visual guide. This should help refresh any returning player before they jump in.

We're getting combat updates for several classes, with updated default choices within disciplines.New PVP seasons are coming, and Dynamic Encounters are getting expanded to seven additional planets along with new rewards to earn.

Other changes include a streamlined Mission Log and several map improvements. This is on top of the promised character modernization improvements. This means improved lighting, preview window and in game parity, improved Chiss textures, and more. Seven species will also get new skin color options.

We won't have long to wait as Update 7.7 has a late May-early June  release window target.
