Get out your winter gear and rifle, as the Hunt: Showdown 1896 update brings us to the heart of Colorado to face off with our foes in new landscapes.

One of the new maps, titled Mammon’s Gulch, takes us deep into a shadowy unforgiving biome within the Rocky Mounts of Colorado. With peaks and valleys to utilize for vantage points and cover, there will be a whole new level of tactical warfare to enjoy. Beneath the hunting ground filled with opponents lies deep mines teeming with horrors to uncover, so don’t think for a second anywhere within the Rockies is safe.

On top of a new area to enjoy, there have also been quite a few updates to textures, lighting and animations, as well as improved audio design to immerse us in the chaos further than ever before. The PvPvE extraction shooter update will go live on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on August 15th, but once it does, the original Hunt: Showdown will no longer be playable on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One due to the depreciation of the old title on older platforms.

With the news that there will no longer be an OG title on last-gen platforms, the developers do state that all console users will receive an upgrade to the updated title free of charge if they choose to snag a new-gen console.
