Hunt Rathalos from Monster Hunter World Starting August 7th

The latest Live Letter from the Producer is complete with the news that Final Fantasy XIV players will be able to start the "Great Hunt" in order to battle Rathalos. This behemoth dragon comes as part of the Monster Hunter World cross over event and parties of up to 8-players (normal) or 4-players (extreme) will be ready to take on the challenge starting August 7th.

In addition, Patch 4.4, Prelude in Violet, will be coming in mid-September and includes:

• new main scenario quests
• new side stories such as The Four Lords & more Hildibrand and more Doman Reconstruction
• two new dungeons - The Burn (tentative) and Saint Mocianne's Arboretum (hard)
• Battle Suzaku in a new trial
• the final stage of the Omega raid series, Alphascape (including a Savage mode)
• job adjustments
• increased number of Role Action slots
• PvP Quick Chat phrases for timed attacks
• PvP specific HUDS will be adjustable
• mannequin furnishing for housing will be introduced
• new housing customization options
• Gold Saucer will be updated with a new GATE
• Ceremony of Eternal Bonding will be updated iwth new ceremonies & anniversary ceremonies
