Huge Reduction in Fatigue Accumulation Coming in March

The EVE Online site has another extensive blog post detailing some big changes coming to the game in the March update. Most notably, players will see a small, but meaningful, change to the jump fatigue mechanic. The mechanic, according to the blog, has been one of the "least satisfying" ones since its introduction in 2014. As a result of volumes of player feedback and developer discussion, a big change is coming to reduce fatigue accumulation.

Starting with the March update, players will see a 95% reduction to the cap on fatigue accumulation. For example, the maximum possible jump fatigue will move from 4 days to 5 hours while the maximum jump activation cooldown will shift from nearly 10 hours to 30 minutes.

Other changes mentioned in today's blog include:

  • Jumping & Tethering - a short tethering delay will be introduced after a cynosural jump that shouldn't impact docking
  • Entosis Link module tweaks:
    • Allow remote assistance to subcapital ships with Entosis Links running (including remote reps)
    • Significantly reduced max ranges: 20km for T1 and 50km for T2
    • Significantly reduced fitting requirements for the T2 module: 20 power grid and 5 CPU
    • +100% sensor strength to any ship with an active cycling Entosis Link
