Osiris: New Dawn has exited Early Access and is out now in full release. The survival game set in space features exploration, combat, and integral crafting elements and community driven content.
There are multiple worlds to explore, and you'll discover different alien creatures on each planet that are unique to their own ecosystems. The worlds are also dynamic, with weather patterns that can impact your ability to survive at all. The weather can also help you out in some cases, and you'll have to get to know the different biomes across the various planets in order to figure out what's most advantageous.
Explore around and find a suitable place to build your base and start to get to work on building it up and deciding on some strategies. Build during the day, and secure things for the night ahead. In the launch announcement, the team notes that 1.0 includes over seven years of content, including all of the major updates, new features, and expansions that they have released.
As in many a survival game, the night is uncertain and dangerous, and you'll also have to think about how you can secure your location or even to set up defenses or weaponized attacks for anyone or anything that might approach.
The Fenix Fire team combines not only survival game elements, crafting, exploration, and other details like that dynamic weather system, they've also drawn from horror inspirations for the creatures and some of the environments. They even say that survival is not guaranteed, so there’s a need to be strategic, and sometimes maybe to have a little bit of good luck.
There's flexibility in how you can play, because you can work together with friends, start a private server with your own rule set. Choose sandbox or even nightmare mode to suit your playstyle.
To mark the launch, there is a special discount over on Steam and the Epic Games Store. Head to Osiris: New Dawn for more.
