In a move showcasing true craft in WoW Classic, a bunch of Horde players denied Alliance players from ringing the Scarab Gong. Here’s how they did it.

It all happened on Sulfuras, a PvP server for WoW Classic. As reported by Blizzard Watch, Horde Scarab Lord contendor, Souffle, along with other Horde compatriots, rang the gong on Tuesday. However, they came to realization that they could actually deny Alliance from ringing that gong – and thus completing Scepter – if they could just keep the Bronze Dragon Anachronos engaged in combat. And that’s exactly what they did.

At one point, up to 18 Horde guilds would guard Anachronos in an attempt to deny the Alliance (specifically the Alliance Guild, Grizzly) from ringing the Scarab Gong. This translated to about 600 Horde players pushing back against 300 Alliance players and denying them.

Naturally, the server then experienced some lag during this epic struggle. However, after 10 hours of such combat, the Horde players proved victorious. Applause all around for the heroic efforts.
