Honkai Star Rail has announced fuller details outfits upcoming Version 2.2, with a few new playable characters, new Dreamscapes to explore, and the climax of players’ adventures in Penacony, per an official press release.
The two new characters available in Version 2.2 are Robin and Boothill, both five-star banners. Penacony native Robin is touted as a support, “providing invaluable support and buffs to all allies,” including a massive Ultimate that lets allies execute abilities twice. Plus, Boothill, a “cyborg cowboy exploring the cosmic frontier,” has the ability to lock on certain enemies for “duels,” in which both Boothill and his target suffer increased damage. However, his Ultimate delays actions and deals a massive hit of damage, making him formidable if left not dealt with.
There’ll also be a temporary event with limited five-star characters Topaz, Numby, and Master Diviner Fu Xuan.
Meanwhile in Penacony itself, there’ll be more new story to follow, including a new Dreamscape called Dreamflux Reef, which is described as “barren” and existing “in stark contrast to the previous Penaconian fantasies.” The description also teases a reunion with “some unexpected friends.” There’ll also be the Festivity Auditions, where contestants join for the chance at the Festive Superstar title.
A one-year celebration concert will also be held May 1 at 7:05 p.m. UTC+8 (4:05 p.m. PDT), including the debut of “If I Can Stop One Heart From Breaking” by Robin herself.
