Hoyoverse has announced that Honkai: Star Rail will release on April 26th. The upcoming space fantasy RPG will be out on PC and mobile.
The team released a special video today packed with new info. Called “Boarding Preparation Special Program”, the launch date was confirmed, along with an in-development PlayStation version. While there’s no date yet for the PlayStation release, there is a section of the official site now open that is dedicated to it.
Aeons in the galaxy “construct reality, erase stars, and leave their marks on countless worlds”. In Honkai: Star Rail, your journey on the Astral Express along with your companions will take you all over the galaxy, tracing the path of the Aeons.
You'll get to know a number of characters and fight alongside them in your adventures, exploring space stations, worlds, and so much more.
For example, the character of Seele is shown as hardened on the outside, but if you gain her trust, then she’ll open up to you and show her sensitive side. It will take time and effort. Bronya, called the heir to Belabog’s Supreme Guardian, is initially antagonistic towards the crew on the Astral Express, but she’ll be able to learn some truths that change her path.
The RPG elements of the game are very much on display. There's an introduction to the different races you'll find, their characteristics like specialty magics, and much more. You'll also get a peek inside some of the towns and places you'll visit, along with the people populating them.
Today's stream is over 48 minutes long, so there's so much info if you are interested in this game, including previews of locations, worlds, and gameplay all throughout.
There’s still a pre-registration campaign happening too, so you can participate in order to get some goodies to start your adventures.
