The developers at Gearbox Publishing and Blackbird Interactive have released the year one roadmap for their upcoming RTS title, Homeworld 3, giving players a taste of what to expect post-launch.
Homeworld 3 is the latest addition to the series, and it is set to launch on May 13 of this year, after being delayed back in February. Today, the developers decided to share a year of content and updates players can expect after the game goes live.
There are a few paid DLCs and some free updates for everyone to partake in, and the first major content drop comes just a month after launch. June will be bringing new challenges and artifacts, while July will bring a paid DLC that includes a new playable faction, new faction starting fleets, faction challenges and artifacts, and a faction emblem.
All of these updates and new content additions will be specifically for the War Games co-op mode, so not much has been revealed on the overall roadmap as of yet.
There is also a Collector’s Edition available, which not only brings Digital Goods that can be used in-game, but physical goods for fans to collect. These physical items include a Khar-Shan Mothership, Hiigaran Destroyer Figure, WW2-inspired spotter playing card deck, Homeworld 3 logo keychain, and a 1.8” Hiigaran Torpedo Frigate Figure. As for the digital goodies, players will receive a Homeworld 3 base game Steam key to snag the game for themselves, a Homeworld 3 Year One Pass, the entire soundtrack for the title, a Multiplayer Customization set, and even early access to the game.
For anyone who has not stayed up to date with what to expect with the launch, the developers also posted a cinematic trailer to enjoy and get caught up before everything goes live next month.
