Blackbird Interactive has delayed the release of Homeworld 3 by about eight weeks from its March 8 release date.
According to a statement released by the developer, this decision was made due to feedback gathered by the developers from playtesters as well as reception to the public demo released on February 5 as part of Steam’s Next Fest.
"We also recently gathered a dedicated group of players from outside our organizations to play through the full game. This resulted in additional insights and perspective that will be incorporated to make Homeworld 3 the best experience possible.”
This isn’t the first time Homeworld 3 has been delayed, either. Gameplay was first shown at Gamescom in 2022 with a release date for later that year. It was then delayed to H1 2023, and again to February 2024. Another delay pushed the game back to March 2024 and now the game has hopefully experienced its final delay and fans can finally get their hands on the long awaited sequel when it launches in May.
Homeworld 3's newest release date is set for May 13 or May 10 for those who purchase the game’s $90 Fleet Commander edition. Find it on Epic Games Store or Steam.
