'Tis the season for merry making in most of our MMOs. We've got the full round up of seasonal in-game events for you to check out before heading into game for a jolly good time.
- Swords & Spells: A totally new series of quests invites players to explore and try to get hold of the christmassy item set. Additionally, players can now gain rewards like gold, healing potions, items or diamonds by logging in everyday. The PvP also offers new incentives: Along with fame and glory, the winner will also be rewarded with a share of the coveted diamonds.
- Digimon Masters Online: Starting tomorrow, December 24th, existing players can Like the Digimon Masters Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/digimonmasters, and follow the event instructions for their chance to win! All players who share the special event update will be entered for a chance to win a special silk package in January. Keep watching for the special updates that will include instructions on how to win this prize; players have until January 14th 2014 to enter!
- Lineage II: It's that time of the year, Santa's coming to town and he's bringing presents for all the good boys and girls of Aden. All you have to do is collect some delicious Nectar and bring it to Santa, with it he'll help grow some amazing Wintermelons full of goodies. The Wintermelon Wonderland event runs from December 18th, 2013 until January 8th, 2014.
- The Secret World: The brand new Christmas event called A Mother of a Season starts today and will last until the 2nd of January. A tweaked End of Days also makes a comeback this year, so you have tons of great challenges and special rewards to look forward to!
- World of Warcraft: It’s the time of year when the many residents of Azeroth take time to pause and think about all of the good and bad they’ve wrought throughout the year. And even if their self-reflection reveals the shriveled heart of the Greench, they’ll write a letter to Greatfather Winter anyway in the hopes they’ll get just want they want for Winter Veil.
- Dragon Nest: Every little boy and girl in Altera spends each year dreaming of one special day: the Wintertide Festival. As the air gets chiller and snow starts to fall, Alterans from Ironwood Village to Saint's Haven exchange gifts and share in holiday cheer.
- Rail Nation: Snowy map: The new snowy map brings a full winter landscape to Rail Nation. Conductor William L. Smith is also dressed accordingly.
- Rift: Across Telara the fires have been stoked, the wreathes have been hung, and the presents are piling high. The Fae hide (and steal, and re-hide) gifts under Yuletide trees, while mead-fueled merriment sweeps up Guardians and Defiant alike. It must be time for Fae Yule!
- Blacklight: Retribution: Get competitive for the holidays with the Blacklight: Retribution Christmas Cup running on December 21 and 22. Register HERE.
- Perfect World International: Celebrate Christmas and New Year’s Day with a slew of holiday decorations, lethal yetis and snowmen, double EXP, spirit, drops and coins, special competitions, and more. New to 2013 is a new Christmas event where players can use the new Penguin Missile Launcher to help Santa and returning is the Skyflame Festival and the New Year’s Cleave event. Events begin on December 18th and wrap up wholly on January 7th.
- EverQuest: It’s that time of year again in Norrath! Frostfell is in full swing! Santa Glug is marking down on his list who has been a good adventurer this year (and he’s checking it twice). Until December 25, 2013, check the Marketplace for huge discounts on all housing items, all ornaments and all weapon visuals.
- EverQuest II: The weather may be wintery, but the denizens of Norrath are full of holiday cheer! The annual celebration of Frostfell features gift giving, fabulous feasts, holiday crafts, and of course, Santa Glug and his helpers.
- Lord of the Rings Online: End the year with a trip to the town of Winter-home, where all of your favorite Yule Festival activities and quests have returned. Earn even more rewards including a new mount- the Wintertide Steed! Just like winter, the festival will be gone before you know it so don't miss out!
- Forsaken World: Collect holiday badges to be spent at a Christmas shop, and search for presents hiding under trees! Starting December 18th, this event runs until January 5th.
- War of Immortals: This season take part in a multitude of yuletide events, from collecting presents to meeting Santa Claus. Earn limited time rewards such as the Snowgang Pet, the Christmas Sled, and Christmas Fashions! Events run from December 20th until December 26th.
- Jade Dynasty: From a fishmen invasion to a Christmas instance run with the Jade Dynasty team, as well as Christmas Day and New Year’s Triple EXP, Jade Dynasty brings unique opportunities to players. Events start on December 18th.
- Luvinia World: When you successfully smack a player with a snowball, you gain experience and can pick up reward drops as well. (Lower level players will a higher percentage of experience than higher level players) But, if you are hit with a snowball you will receive a debuff which will slow you down, and if you are hit 10 times you will be turned into a snowman for a total of 2 min. You can purchase defrosters from NPC Chilly to get rid of your slow debuff. Once players have been turned into snowmen they will no longer be targetable with a snowball. Players can be hit for a maximum of 20 Times Daily after which they can no longer be attacked. For every 15 successful snowball hits, you can claim a prize from Chilly each day.
- Champions Online: Ongoing until December 30th, heroes can take on the March of the Mecha Soldiers alert for the chance to earn holiday exclusive items and costume pieces. Christmas presents can be found throughout Millennium City and take on a rampaging teddy bear open-world boss! Finally Santa joins the city beginning on December 24th!
- RaiderZ: Christmas returns to the world of RaiderZ, rewarding players with the chance to ride Rudolf, collect festive Christmas clothing, exchange cards, and help save Christmas from a dastardly thief!
