The wait is over: HiFiGo has launched the DUNU x Gizaudio DaVinci. It’s the latest collaboration IEM and one of the most exciting yet. Retailing for $299.99 and available from HiFiGo now, this new set features a hybrid 6-driver design, beautiful wooden faceplates, a modular cable, and tuning by one of the most consistently reliable influencers release collabs today, Timmy from the Gizaudio YouTube channel.
These new IEMs mark the third release from Gizaudio, preceded by the Galileo and the Chopin. Both sets were highly regarded for their sound signature and detailed performance. Released in partnership with Letshuoer and Binary Acoustics respectively, this new release is its first collab with DUNU, one of the most highly regarded brands in ChiFi today.
The DaVinci uses a combination of two dynamic drivers and four balanced armatures to craft its sound. The dynamics are 8mm and 10mm and are housed into their own acoustic chamber to separate the sound. The balanced armatures are custom and use independent sound tubes. The frequencies are split with a 5-way crossover, ensuring that each driver can focus and excel at a narrower band.
According to the site, the tuning is aimed to deliver enhanced bass as well as enhanced clarity. We’ll have to wait for more reviews to surface before finding out whether these use a V-shaped frequency response or instead lean Harman or something else entirely. The combination of DUNU and Gizaudio sounds like a bit of a dream team, however, so we’re excited to get our hands on it and hear it for ourselves.
Until then, you can find out more over at HiFiGo or order your own if you’re already sold.
