Capes developer Spitfire Interactive and its publisher Daedalic Entertainment have released a pair of new trailers ahead of the turn-based superhero tactics game’s release on May 29. The trailers focus in on two of the game’s playable heroes, Weathervane and Mercurial.
Mercurial is a flexible hero who brings both speed and power to bear in battle. A fist fighter, Mercurial’s speed allows her to quickly close the distance with foes and dish out powerful punches, confuse, and even disarm enemies. Her speediness can also be used defensively to retreat from a sticky situation when necessary.
Weathervane, as his name might imply, wields the power of lightning and wind. His abilities are best suited for taking out groups of enemies at once, with abilities such as Lightning Scourge able to deal damage in a wide area. Weathervane’s wind powers allow him great control over the environment, able to push and pull items like explosive barrels to get them into a position capable of maximizing their explosive impact.
The base game and King City Editions are available now for pre-order. The King City Edition of Capes includes the base game as well as a supporter pack featuring alternate hero skins, an art book, and more.
Capes superhero lands onto PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5 and 4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One on May 29.
