Ubisoft hosted their Forward event yesterday, covering off many of their upcoming games including Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.

The event previewed Watch Dogs 2, their new Battle Royale Hyper Scape (which is now in open beta on PC via Uplay), and more. During their post-show, we were treated to 30 minutes of gameplay, narrated by Quest Director Philippe Bergeron.

We were treated to gameplay showing off an assault on a town, a couple of boss fights, general exploration, drinking contests, and flyting which is basically a Viking rap battle. We saw dialogue choices, with the consequences of those choices actually coming back to play out later in the footage.

Additionally, we saw some ship sailing, with your crew able to tell stories in addition to singing songs. Fishing is also included in the game, which plays into the new health loop. Now, unlike previous games, health does not regenerate. You’ll have to find resources to regain your health.

We also received a release date which sets November 17 for the game’s launch on PC, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, and Stadia. You can take a look at the full footage below.
