Mobile games are big business these days, and TapTap is one of the largest gaming app stores outside of the respective iOS and Android app stores. Built by X.D. Network Inc, TapTap has been the premiere platform for some of hottest upcoming mobile games, including XD’s flagship title Torchlight Infinite. This year TapTap has put together an event showing off some of the most exciting mobile games headed our way. Check out this short list of the MMO, RPG and MOG games from the TapTap Presents event!
Torchlight Infinite
Possibly the biggest news to come out of the TapTap Presents Event had to do with XD’s very own Torchlight Infinite. As we reported on earlier this morning, TL:I will release in October in an open beta state. The game will launch with 6 characters and over 230 skills! Players may have to wait a little longer for the PC version, but the game will eventually be available on PC and Mobile with the possibility of a console release as well! Check out the latest trailer that introduces the newest character Thea. It also gives you a little insight into the story behind Torchlight Infinite.
Genshin Impact
When you talk about mobile gaming, you can’t ignore Genshin Impact. As one of the most popular games on any app store, miHoYo joined in on the festivities of TapTap Presents with their second video preview of the new Sumeru region. Check out the video below, and then read more about what’s headed to Genshin Impact in our previous coverage of the initial Sumeru reveal.
Wuthering Waves
Wuthering Waves is an open-world adventure RPG by Kuro Games. While there is no multiplayer to speak of, the game will feature an exciting story, with an exceptional combat system, and keep an appealing art style that will make anime fans happy. Check out the latest gameplay demo trailer!
Naraka Bladepoint
Naraka Bladepoint is headed to mobile. This is not necessarily news if you’ve been following their social media as of late, but TapTap Presents gleefully reminded us of the fact that you can preregister on TapTap to get into the game. They also showed the latest trailer, and if you’re new to Naraka Bladepoint then you’ll probably be pretty impressed with this arena MOG.
Etheria: Restart
Etheria: Restart is a turn-based ARPG where you’ll take control of some unique cyber-fantasy characters in a mixed virtual and ‘real life’ urban setting. Developed by X.D. Games, Etheria: Restart is set to release in 2023 as free to play, with a single player campaign and online PvP. You will be able to play it on mobile for Android and iOS and on PC via Steam.
Crystal of Atlan
Crystal of Atlan is a unique dungeon crawling ARPG by VI Games. There is only so much that we know about the game at this time, as much of it has been under wraps. We do know that the game will not be open world, but will have designated large-scale dungeons for players to romp through. There will be numerous classes and abilities for players to master, and a story that will lead you to the secret of what exactly the Crystal of Atlan actually is. Along with aerial combat being a primary selling point, and an ether-punk manga style, the premise feels a lot like what Phantasy Star Online 2 Classic is. Luckily, beta will release in just a few months, so undoubtedly more information will reveal itself before too long.
Yeager: Hunter Legend
If you wanted to play Monster Hunter on mobile, Yeager: Hunter Legend seems like it may have you covered. This monster hunting action RPG will give you a lot of different playstyles, and provide plenty of cosmetics so that you standout in your hunting party. Pre-registration is open now, and the Open Beta is available on Android for Canada, with more regions on the way.
Sword of Convallaria: For This World of Peace
Sword of Convallaria will is a traditional JRPG that will probably appeal to gamers who hate fast action on their mobile device.. This isometric JRPG is being developed by XD and will eventually head your way on Android and iOS. Even though no release date has been given, you can preregister on TapTap for android now!
Project Stars
If you’re a sucker for space exploration and building, then you’ll probably dig the trailer for Project Stars. As a mobile multiplayer sandbox, players will be able to join up with their friends, build incredible locations, and even create vehicles to explore the rest of the universe. It looks and feels a lot like a mobile No Man’s Sky and that’s not a bad thing.
