Helldivers 2 Patch Brings Weapon Buffs, Strategem Updates and More

The latest update, patch 1.000.406, is officially live in Helldivers 2, and with it comes some buffs, strategems, and a few big changes. 

One of the newer additions is the Polar Patriots Premium Warbond, which brings some chilly new additions to the battlefield. The weapons include the AR-61 Tenderizer, SMG-72 Pummeler, and the PLAS-101 Purifier. We will also get our hands on three new armor sets and three new capes, as well as emotes and three new player cards. The weapons within this bundle got a few buffs as well, making them even more powerful than before and adding a bit of balance to the mix. 

Strategems have received a bit more balance, as the devs wanted to buff some of the weaker ones and make them more useful in different loadouts. This gives us more variety to explore as we wreak havoc on the Terminids. A few of them have also been changed up a bit in order to make them “more consistent”, but the developers want to ensure that each one has the same or higher power level than before. 

A few weapons also got changed up a bit, such as increased rotation speeds, increased durability, reduced cooldowns, and increased projectile damage. More so, some of the gameplay itself has seen a few modifications, including the Retrieve Essential Personnel Defend event, which has been disabled for now. The devs state that this was to give the mission a major overhaul as it was “deemed not fun”.
