Hearthstone is set to receive 135 new cards as part of their Forged in the Barrens expansion on March 30. Here are the details.
As part of the marketing leading up to the release, Blizzard is showcasing card reveals over the next few weeks. For example, you can look forward to the Theorycrafting Live Streams which begin at 9a PST on March 23. During this live stream, expect to see the team show off the new card set in addition to the contest-winning decks on various streaming channels. These will include at least 10 Forged in the Barrens cards in each deck.
Additionally, there will be several private pre-release Fireside Gatherings. According to the accompanying press release,
“Private pre-release Fireside Gatherings will give everyone a chance to rip open their Forged in the Barrens card packs from the comfort and safety of their own homes before the expansion officially unlocks on March 30. Private pre-release Fireside Gatherings will take place the weekend before Forged in the Barrens goes live, March 26 at 10 AM PDT – March 29 at 10 AM PDT.”
On top of this, pre-release will include Fireside Brawls which will allow you to construct decks using cards you open during the pre-release event. There’s an additional pre-constructed Brawl which will include new deck recipes from the new set.
