It's the fourth anniversary for Warhammer: Vermintide 2 and developer Fatshark is marking the occasion in several ways. The game is available at a special sale price, a time limited exclusive level opens up, and promises that, even after years of consistent development, more is yet to come for the title.
The game launched way back in 2018, which probably feels like an age to most of us. The anniversary celebration is live on all platforms with a special celebratory level called ‘A Quiet Drink’, available from today, March 8 through March 21. Next week, on March 15, the PC version will get a new quality of life update.
‘A Quiet Drink’ is a celebratory level that will be available for just a limited time. If it has been a while since you played Warhammer: Vermintide 2 , this is your chance to celebrate with this little diversion. And if you haven’t played at all, the game will be on sale for the anniversary on Steam at a discount of 80% off (or $5.99).
Also announced is that the 4th anniversary will run across all of the game’s platforms until March 21 and all future anniversaries will take place on all platforms simultaneously. So prior events on Xbox and PlayStation will happen simultaneously on PC each year around March 8.
The promised quality of life update is coming and more details are yet to be revealed, but initial hints say that the update will contain “features inspired by some of your favorite mods, new Premium Cosmetics and more”. The Vermintide 2 team will have a special stream hosted by Community Manager Asqhy, taking us through some of what’s to come in the quality of life update. The stream will happen on Friday at 2 PM CET.
