Players in North America can now head into Heroes of the Storm to check out Hanzo who has arrived fresh from Overwatch. Hanzo is is an archer with some wicked ranged abilities. He also brings Winter Veil to the Nexus with a new quest chain that will see players earn themed sprays, warbanners, portraits and even an Arctic Reign-Deer Mount.

- 2018 Ranked Season 1 begins
- performance-based matchmaking
- new camera height
- terrain outlines that "allow for a more accurate view of what can be used for Frag Launcher bounces and Wall Rides"
- new Battleground objectives
- removal of single siege towers and other structural changes
- mercenary improvements
- new art and minimap and stealth changes
