Guild Wars 2's latest content drop for its well-received End of Dragons expansion, What Lies Within, is coming next week. ArenaNet announced this morning that players will be able to check out the new story update on May 23rd.

The new update is the second of two major free updates that End of Dragons players can expect, bringing new story and events to Guild Wars 2. Via this morning's press release:

"Titled “What Lies Within”, the story will challenge players to dig themselves out of the darkest depths at the bottom of the Gyala Delve and with the help of the Jade Brotherhood and some heavy ordnance, defeat the Ravenous Wanderer unearthed in February’s game update once and for all. On top of this new finale to cap off Gyala Delves’ map-spanning meta event, the update will launch with new rewards, like a new Special Ops armor set, the Mining Hand Drill mace, the Xunlai Nephrite Crusher hammer, a mini phoenix, and more."

The update also brings new events to Cantha, including Adventures such as the Jade Bot drone mode challenge, skiff races, or even target practice atop your siege turtle. To celebrate the update hitting, ArenaNet is also putting their excellent End of Dragons expansion on sale for 20% off from May 22nd through the 28th.

Recently, Guild Wars 2 talked about its new content model, which it seems this update is now following. Also, if you're still looking to ramp up your character for endgame, check out these five best legendaries to grab in Guild Wars 2.
