ArenaNet has decided to delay the Steam release of Guild Wars 2 in order to fully focus on their main priority, Guild Wars 2: End of Dragons, their next expansion. No further details were given on the Steam release delay.
In addition to the next expansion, End of Dragons, the team is hard at work on finishing up their Living World story, The Icebrood Saga, with its next iteration, The Icebrood Saga: Champions. Champions will be a multi-part end to the Icebrood Saga storyline, and one that most assuredly will tie into the next expansion. We recently reported that the team has released a roadmap through May of 2021.
The roadmap, as with many release schedules these days, isn’t set in stone, but at least there is a visible plan for fans that are awaiting more content to be released, in preparation for the next big expansion. Currently, the Mad King is visiting Guild Wars 2 in their annual Halloween Holiday event.
