With Janthir Wilds coming out next week, Guild Wars 2 is previewing the new Wizard’s Vault season rewards, Twitch Drops, and ramping up preparing us all for Janthir.
The seasonal refresh will happen on the day of the expansion’s release, August 20th, and will not only add new rewards, there will also be another exclusive offering for expansion owners. The Onyx Spider’s weapon collection and Rot Stalker armor set are some of the highlights, with the latter including a helm, shoulders, and gloves. Some Legacy items from previous seasons will also return, and as long as you own the associated expansion, you'll be able to purchase those as well.
The new Legendary Starter Kit - set 5 features two new and two returning weapon kits. The season will also bring new daily and weekly tasks that will carry you through the new expansion, along with additional objectives throughout the season, some of which will tie into events.
The season also introduces the Falling Star Quest License. If you own Janthir Wilds, you'll get a special quest that will send you to explore Janthir and complete particular objectives. Do that and you'll be able to earn the ascended Falling Star spear and Meteor Wielder’s Glove. If you equip both of the items together, the spear will become superheated.

The new spear is one of the big exclusive features in Janthir Wilds, offering a new set of skills for every profession, so it makes sense that ANet would like to highlight it again in this way. Jazz up your combat with these additional items.
Twitch Drops are also returning next week to mark the expansion release. From August 20-25th, Tune into community streamers to earn yourself some new rewards including the /sipcoffee emote, mini pet bundle, Fuzzy Quaggan Hat skin, and Pirate Cosmetic Bundle.
