Tomorrow, Guild Wars 2’s Godspawn update is out, expanding upon Janthir Wilds with all new story content, new challenges, the game’s first raid in five years, a new Convergence, and an all new Legendary spear. That new spear gets a new preview, along with the new Wizard’s Vault rewards preview.
The team has also posted a special note ahead of the updates release, noting that a limited amount of English language voiceover content will not be available at launch. The female charr and female sylvari player characters are affected by this change. The announcement comes so that people know that they may need to change characters to experience the story with the intended voice over content.
The Klobjarne is the new Legendary Spear, with six cosmetic styles and new special effects. The preview video shows off each style and gives an idea of the aesthetics and inspiration, with the use of the feathers and the smoke, to the various styles jumping off from there. Each has its own name that you’ll probably have to learn (Geirr, Atgeir, Darr, Kesja, Frakka, and Hler.
Meanwhile, the Wizard’s Vault refresh has something for a wide variety of players. If you loved the Cat Tree Chair from the beginning of the year, or maybe you wished there was a dog version, this new rewards selection is for you. The Dog Bench Chair in this new rewards selection comes with some cute canines in the seating nook, complete with a little slide for playtime.
Other rewards include the Alabaster Spider’s Weapons, more Rot Stalker armor pieces, and the Enchanted Warclaw skin. Give your trusty Warclaw a glowing new makeover as you prepare for new challenges.
Godspawn is set for launch tomorrow, so prepare to chase some titans.
