The Guild Wars 2 team teased the upcoming summer fractal, Silent Surf, in a new trailer yesterday. Launching alongside the balance patch on June 27th, the new fractal seems poised to showcase more of Canthan history.
We knew the June 27th balance pass was coming - Anthony covered it here earlier this month when the details were made known - but it seems ArenaNet has more planned for its players that day.
In a tweet to the official Guild Wars 2 account, the team showcased the upcoming fractal in a short trailer, depicting some of Canthan history, as the Serpent Clan, led by Captain Thess, aims to find survivors of the Jade Wind ship.
Feels a bit on the nose given the news beats right now.

This new fractal is part of the roadmap the team highlighted earlier this year, while the planned balance pass brings changes to the various classes in the MMORPG. The upcoming fractal is also the first major content drop since the recent What Lies Within story update that dropped at the end of May.
