Guild Wars 2 looks ahead to new year, Next Icebrood Saga Chapter hitting January 28th

Guild Wars 2 looks ahead to 2020 while recapping some interesting stats for 2019.

In a new post, the team cites some accomplishments from players in 2019:

  • Rocked out to almost 10,000 Metal Legion concerts
  • Cooked nearly 1,000,000 ascended meals
  • Participated in over 200,000 mount races
  • Got knocked out (but you got up again) over 63,000,000 times

As for 2020, the team is set to deliver content every month spanning Living World episode to updates for the competitive scene. Additionally, it looks like the game is set to receive an upgrade Lunar New Year experience which will include a new activity and rewards. This update will hit after the holiday period.

January will see Episode 2 of the Icebrood Saga. Additionally, balancing is taking place in Swiss tournaments in the competitive side of things. Following this, “a new type of Living World content,” is set to hit. This is called Visions of the Past and is described as, “story that will take you out of the commander’s shoes and give you a new perspective on Ryland Steelcatcher—along with some unannounced surprises we can’t wait to unveil.”
