Starting today, Arena Net is giving players a chance to catch up on the Living World content in Guild Wars 2 ahead of the next big expansion, End of Dragons, by giving away episodes of the content for free until June 22nd.
The content will be given away in waves, starting with the first two episodes today, with two new episodes hitting weekly until June 22nd. Effectively, Guild Wars 2 is giving away years of content for free as a way to catch players up to the upcoming expansion, End of Dragons.
The first two episodes, Gates of Maguuma and Entanglement, will be free to unlock for players until May 31st. From there, each week new content will be made available in the order it initially released. However, the episodes are only free during their weekly period, so you'll need to hop in each week to claim the content.
"Starting May 25, Living World episodes will be in the spotlight chronologically. Episodes are free to unlock during their spotlight week, and we’ll update them with new achievements. Complete all the new Living World Season 2 and 3 achievements to earn a voucher for a Guild Wars 2: End of Dragons precursor weapon. When the expansion launches, you can redeem it and begin crafting your very own third-generation legendary weapon"
This all leads up to Guild Wars 2's upcoming End of Dragons expansion, the first look coming on July 27th. This stream is expected to dive into the story and setting around the expansion, including the land of Cantha. Guild Wars 2 recently sunk its hooks back into our columnist Robin, who had been finding her desire to play it wane in recent month.
