Guild Wars 2 is celebrating Pride Month by giving players a colorful free Macaw Wing Glider Combo. These colorful wings are free for anyone who logs into the MMO during the month.
Guild Wars 2 tweeted the announcement this morning, inviting players to grab the free cosmetic as part of their celebration of Pride Month. June will see many games, companies and more celebrate Pride, and the rainbow-colored Macaw Wings are definitely a fun way to highlight supporting the community - or simply showcase their own authentic selves as ArenaNet suggests!
"Log in to #GuildWars2 anytime in June and pick up a free Macaw Wings Glider Combo! Show off your rainbow feathers--a celebration of your authentic self! Happy Pride Month, Tyria!"
All you need to do to earn your wings is simply log into the MMO anytime during the month of June. The wings won't actually help you take flight, but it's a nice cosmetic touch that can round out any outfit while also supporting the community.
ArenaNet has a history of supporting its community and charitable causes by participating in Pride Month every year as well as helping raise money for the Children's Miracle Network through their Extra Life efforts. In fact, ArenaNet was recently recognized as the Extra Life Partner of the Year for their work raising money for the charity.
