News out of ArenaNet today as the MMO studio has announced it will be delaying the next expansion for Guild Wars 2, End of Dragons, out of 2021 and into 2022.

Citing "real-world challenges."  the studio has pushed the release of Guild Wars 2's next expansion from late 2021 into 2022, whilst thanking players for their patience.

"As expansion development has progressed and the real-world challenges of the past year and a half have changed the way we live and work, it’s become clear that we need a little more time to deliver our creative vision for Cantha. As a result, we’re delaying the release of Guild Wars 2: End of Dragons from late 2021 to early 2022."

While the developers will be delaying the release of Guild Wars 2: End of Dragons into 2022, the team is still planning on hosting their upcoming livestream showcasing the next chapter in the MMORPG on July 27th.

"We appreciate your patience as we take the time to give the expansion the attention it deserves. I’m incredibly proud of the work the team is doing to bring Cantha to life, and we can’t wait for you to see and experience it for yourselves. Don’t forget to tune in on July 27 for the Guild Wars 2: End of Dragons First Look livestream."

Guild Wars 2: End of Dragons is the third expansion for the MMORPG, bringing players back to the region of Cantha. To celebrate the release, as well as get players caught up on the story, the team has been giving away free Living World episodes so long as players log in and claim them during the weekly giveaway.
