Guild Wars 2’s Super Adventure Festival is back starting today, with two worlds and a test zone for some rewarding adventures. ArenaNet is also marking the 20tth anniversary of the original Guild Wars.
Head over to Rata Sum to get started in Moto’s carefully crafted adventure worlds. Work on completing the meta achievement for this year’s new reward, the Powered Boots armor. That's not all, because there are retro-inspired weapons, Retro-Forged Torch, Retro-Forged Axe, and Retro-Forged Trident, from the festival weapon vendor. Collect new guild hall and homestead decorations, and more.
In the Super Adventure Box, is a retro inspired challenge where you are trying to rescue a princess with nothing but a stick at first. Every hit you take will cost you hearts and you can continue your adventure as long as you still have lives to spare.
For 2025, there's a brand new mini event, specifically designed for low-level players, Ooze Kitchen Endeavors. If you are a veteran you can still participate, earn a new achievement, and a reward for getting it, the Mini Super Yellow Ooze.
The full event runs through May 6th.
To celebrate 20 years since the first Guild Wars campaign, ANet has brought back homage items now in Guild Wars 2 through April 29th. Classic looks, like Gwen’s Attire or weapon skins are now available. Guild Wars also gets an update that make some items previously only available via pre-orders or promos , available in-game. Promotional weapons are now rare quality drops from high level enemies, and there are weapon upgrades for main hand weapons as rare drops.
