After some patch day maintenance was needed, and extended a couple of times, World of Warcraft’s Guardians of the Dream update has successfully gone live. Now’s your chance to explore a new zone, continue Dragonflight story, open Season 3, chase some new gear, and stop Fyrakk’s plans.
Speaking of those plans, Fyrakk the Blazing is the last of the Primal Incarnates. This time, he’s invading The Emerald Dream, the update’s new zone, in order to attack and absorb the power of the world tree, Amirdrassil. Fyrakk has also aligned himself with the Druids of the Flame. It won’t be easy to stop him, but there are a few ways to continue to block his progress and finally put an end to those plans.
New public events include Superbloom, which sees you assist Sprucecrown to nurture and protect the world tree. Then there is the new raid, Amirdrassil, The Dream’s Hope. In this, there will be nine bosses to take down in order to protect the Emerald Dream and the world tree. Among them are the Druids of the Flame, Fyrakk’s own lieutenants, and Fyrakk himself.
Guardians of the Dream also adds a new Renown track with the Dream Wardens, who you’ll meet and can start to complete tasks for. Dragonriding also gets a new updates, with new racing courses, abilities, more customization options, and the ability to get yourself a Faerie Dragon to race with in style.
As with any major content update, there is new gear, PVP gear added to the universal upgrade system, and other new additions to discover.
Blizzard is also sweetening the launch of the new update with special Twitch Drops for a new camel mount and baby alpaca pet.
