It’s been some time since we’ve heard about the now-current-gen version of GTA Online for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar finally shared a release date with the popular online rendition of Los Santos is slated to hit those consoles on November 11.
GTA Online was announced for the PS5 (and later the Xbox Series X|S) during a Sony event last summer. The trailer at the time noted a release for the second half of 2021 and, well, November happens to be in the second half of 2021. Check out the trailer below:
It should be noted that it’s not just GTA Online releasing for those consoles on November 11. GTA V itself will release on that date as well. In additional news, Rockstar outlined tons of content slated for GTA Online and Red Dead Online throughout this summer. This includes several community-requested features in addition to a bunch of new items, quality of life updates, and more.
For GTA Online specifically, you can look forward to a slate of car-related experiences where you’ll be able to display your car’s performance and customization. This includes an underground car meet-up area for just this purpose.
Additionally, look forward to new Stunt Races on May 27 in addition to expansions for two modes: Deadline and Survival. In Red Dead Online, the next big update will include several more opportunities if you fancy yourself a vigilante. There’s also a new series of races slated to begin soon. You can learn more here.
