Sony Santa Monica's latest entry in the God of War series is getting a new game plus mode next year, bringing a new way to play Ragnarok in the Spring.
While details themselves are scarce on exactly what God of War Ragnarok's new game plus mode will entail, we can surmise a few things based on 2018's God of War new game plus. While traditionally these modes let you bring over your progress from your original playthrough, including unlocks, gear, abilities and more, in 2018's God of War the new mode also saw changes to the actual gameplay.
New game plus in the initial 2018 reboot saw Valkyries get new attack patterns, upping the challenge to Kratos and Atreus, as well as some changes to how gear works thanks to the ability to turn talismans into enchantments. 2018's new game plus mode also allowed players to craft more powerful versions of armor in-game, needed as a way to keep up with the power creep of the new mode.
