The latest developer blog to hit the Star Trek Online site covers the upcoming Admiralty System, a way for players to send their Admiralty ships on missions hoping to reap the rewards in both tangible means and in terms of prestige and influence. Major political forces in the galaxy will seek assistance that coincides with progress earned in various campaigns.
The Admiral's fleet will consist of starships currently accessible to the player, even thoughs that have been dismissed from active duty. As new ships are accessed, a corresponding ship of the same type will be added to the Admiralty Ships fleet. The Admiralty Ships fleet is limitless in terms of the number of available ships.
Campaigns are the 'bread and butter' of the Admiralty System. Each Campaign is made up of multiple groups of assignments, each with its own rewards and theme. Campaigns also feature ten tiers with ever-improving rewards for completion.
Players will gain access to this new system once it arrives on the Tribble Test Server in the near future, or once it goes live with Season 11: A New Dawn later this fall.
