Gloria Victis has a new update, Season of the Wolves,  which starts a new Glory Season, and adds several new features, including the ability to summon a tough brand new boss, the Werewolf. The game will also merge its Legacy servers.

The first season since the game launched has ended, and top ranked players have gotten their rewards, so it’s time for Glory Season 2. What this looks like will be another roughly two-month season where you can earn rank and rewards for engaging in PvP against the other factions. Rank on the leaderboard and you can also earn yourself some Contribution Points, an in-game currency you can spend on items.

Starting today, there’s new content in the Valley of Death Tournament. Namely, there's now a siege mode. This new mode takes place on its own brand new map, and the team intends for it to support large sieges of over 300 players. This is not only going to be an open place to get in there and test out your builds and tactics, it will, they hope, become another draw added to the current gameplay and meta.

As for the werewolf in the room, or in the field, more fittingly, this is the newest (and most challenging) boss in Gloria Victis so far. If you’re looking to gather for a PvE challenge, summoning the Werewolf is one idea. To start the encounter, your guild will have to get a special token, deliver that to an altar, and once you do that you'll have three chances and a time limit of 1 hour. Oh, and don’t get bitten or you’ll get lycanthropy and have to cure it.

The fight is designed to be tough and the bigger the group you bring, the more the fight scales and with how much time you take. Rewards for the fight include a unique item called Werewolf's Blood, a new high-tier crafting component. Gloria Victis will actually immortalize the first guild to successfully take it down with an in-game statue.

One development that isn't in this patch, but is on the way is the decision to merge all of the Legacy servers into one Global Legacy server. When the game launched, the team offered the chance to continue on a Legacy server or start over on a fresh New Beginningsserver. The new servers are simply so much more active that instead of leaving three Legacy servers with a minimal population, merging them is what the team will do (at a point to be announced).
