Out of G-Star today, Netmarble has released a new trailer for RF Online Next. Continuing in the path of the original RF Online, Netmarble’s release is going big. Expect large scale, sci-fi realm versus realm conflict that builds on the legacy of the RF franchise.

The new trailer gives an idea of some of what we can expect, and the combat is the highlight. While the trailer takes us through the setting, the premise, and the origin of the conflict between everyone, it quickly gets to showing off the giant robots, the biosuits, the bosses, and the action.

The trailer is in Korean, but the auto-caption feature does a decent job of letting one follow along with what’s going on. But giant robots have a way of speaking for themselves.  Not only will there be combat, but you'll have to team up with others to defeat the giant world bosses, using everything at your hands, including free flight in your biosuit and summoning the right robots, in addition to plain old strategy, to win.

The team also released a brand new cinematic that emphasizes the devastation of the conflict at hand, the power of tech, and the power of collaboration too.

This game does emphasize realm versus realm, and that is laid out in the trailer as well. As with many realm versus realm games, particularly from Korean dev teams, they go big. Expect fierce competition for resources, for glory, and for much more. RF Online Next is looking to be a worthy successor for the franchise, and There really is something to jumping into a giant Mech and taking on a battle in front of you in a game.

The game’s website is pretty bare right now, but keep an eye on RF Online Next for more. The game is set for release next year on PC and mobile.
