Amazon’s Prime Video released a first look at a scene from its upcoming Fallout television show based on the iconic videogame franchise of the same name.
The scene involves an altercation between a Ghoul played by Walter Goggins and Vault 33 resident Lucy, played by Ella Purnell.
The show is set in the aftermath of a nuclear war in a fictional version of 1940s America. Fallout showrunners include Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner. Robertson-Dworet was involved in writing for Captain Marvel and 2018’s Tomb Raider film. Graham Wagner served as executive producer on Portlandia, Silicon Valley, and Baskets.
The Fallout videogame series debuted in 1997 with Fallout, a game set in a fictional post-apocalyptic 1950s United States and allows players to embody their own created character as they wander through the wasteland and fight for survival against everything from mutated humans, to irradiated animals, and bandits.
Jonathan Nolan will direct the show premiere and actors Kyle MacLachlan, Xelia Mendes-Jones, Aaron Moten, Ella Purnell, and Walter Goggins will all star on the show.
Fallout will premiere on April 11, 2024 on Amazon Prime Video.
