Lost Ark is coming next month, and now we have our first look at the character creation in a new video narrated by gaming personality Arekkz. This follows our recent introduction to the lore of Arkesia.

The first step you have to take us to pick the class you want to play. This will not just affect the way you’ll play once you’re done with character creation, but some of the options available to you in the creation process too. Pick from the Warrior, Mage, Martial Artist, Gunner, and Assassin. Each of these classes will also get their own advanced classes, so there will be many ways to customize your experience. A video series on class selection is coming soon, according to Arekkz.

When you head into character creation, you’ll see the character in example armor that reflects the standard armor for your class. You’ll be able to view the character from all angles and even see some animations and emotes including dances to see just how your character will move. There are plenty of base options you can use for premade quick starts, or you can fully customize your characters. However, certain hairstyles are only available with certain classes, so it adds a little bit of extra to think about, as this decision is meant to fit lore-wise, with the class types.

When it comes to faces, you can customize many details on the faces, including feature size and spacing. One of the most interesting is the fact that you can create two different colored eyes on your character if you want to. There are a lot of options here so it should satisfy many players.

You’ll be able to save different presets and return to them if you are one of the many of us who spend lots of time in character creation. This will let you feel free to keep customizing and trying things without worrying that you’ll forget how to recreate it again. Because you won’t have to.

You can find out more about Lost Ark over at the official site.
