Two of Final Fantasy 14’s most endearing spring holidays have returned to forge one large celebration. The Easter holiday Hatchingtide returns alongside Little Ladies’ Day, resembling the Japanese Dolls’ Day/Girls’ Day holiday, with a combined questline to commemorate both at once.
There aren’t any details of exactly how these come together story-wise. Little Ladies’ Day tells the story of a woman who broke free of the strict confines of her parents, while Hatchingtide was sparked by a Miqo’te’s possibly-delusional prophecy of the descent of the Twelve. However, we do know that finishing such will give a nifty mount: Peatie, a goobbue with a cute pink flower crown.
Both holidays will be represented fairly well throughout the default city-states. As headquarters for Little Ladies’ Day, Ul’dah will maintain the decorations throughout the festivities, while Hatchingtide will retain its home in Gridania.
Elsewhere, the decorations will run on a limited schedule. Little Ladies’ Day decorations will pop up in Limsa Lominsa and the housing districts from the event start until March 22nd at 7:59 a.m. PDT, and Hatchingtide vibes will commence then until the event ends on April 1st at the same time.
Like other holidays, we also suspect the Optional Item Store will have its annual sale of items from past events.
As an ancient Eorzean greeting goes: Pa-Paya.
