Update 2.8 for Genshin Impact is now live, bringing with it the return of the Golden Apple Archipelago, as well as introducing a new character - Shikanoin Heizou.
The update, titled Summer Fantasia, brings a new character to the Hoyoverse RPG, Shikanoin Heizou, a "prodigy detective from the Tenryou Commission." The new character lashes out with powerful attacks, such as his Heartstopper Strike skill, which can be charged to deal even more damage when finally unleashed.
The update also brings back the Golden Apple Archipelago area, each island with a facelift to give each one different themes for the event. Players will travel to the archipelago to complete puzzles with prominent characters to earn rewards. Resonating Visions, another event running at the same time, will get players Fischl's new outfit by finding special conches on the beaches.
Finally, for those looking for a powerful new sword, update 2.8 might have what you need. Genshin Impact's Cursed Blade will be available to obtain, which when used can lash out with a devastating AOE attack, Hewing Gale.
