Genshin Impact’s next big update, “Summertide Scales and Tales”, is set to bring a new summer-themed map, Simulanka, new activities, story content, and new playable character Emilie.
The Simulanka map is comprised of various landscapes and is known to be inhabited by a number of fantastical creatures, such as those based on origami and clockwork mechanics. The island will be around for a limited time and offer a number of events, seasonal events, and of course, rewards.
Explore it and take on a new adventure with familiar characters like the Wanderer, Kirara, Nilou, and Navia. The new storyline promises a dose of mysteries, a chance to help stop crises from happening, and to discover some new truths and information.
In addition to activities and new minigames, that is. Enjoy “Boreal Flurry," "Flying Hatter’s Trick," and "Metropole Trials” along with other rewarding games and challenges.
Emilie is a new five-star recruitable character. In the area she is known as a perfumer, but in combat, she specializes in dealing extra damage to enemies that are burning. Her abilities and combat mechanics are based on the Lumidouce Case and offer new strategic options.
In addition to the new map and Emilie’s debut, there are also a number of optimizations for gameplay, cooldown reductions for world boss rewards, and a number of other improvements.
