HoYoverse is once again going big at Gamescom this week. Genshin Impact and Zenless Zone Zero are previewing major updates (and Genshin’s Xbox release), and Honkai: Star Rail is getting a new collaboration.
The Natlan preview trailer teases the game’s big annual update that's coming on August 28th. At the end of the trailer, a November 20th release date was announced for the game’s debut on Xbox. You can already wishlist HoYoverse’s flagship open-world adventure RPG on the platform. As for the update itself, it takes us into the new nation of Natlan, where there are warriors in the region skilled in tremendous agility, movement, and more to discover. It also shows new playable characters, Kachina and Mualani. We'll find out a lot more when the update drops next week.
Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.4 will see a return to Xianzhou Luofu and feature Feixiao, the Xianzhou Yaoqing’s Merlin’s Claw. Tales have been told about her prowess, with the general herself also appearing. There's more to explore, including a brand new anime collaboration with Fate/stay night [Unlimited Blade Works]. Hints are also dropped for a potential multiverse journey on the way.
Also showing off new playable characters was Zenless Zone Zero. The urban fantasy RPG is introducing Jane Doe.This agent can take care of herself with her attacks and skills, but the trailer hints at her identity and the nature of her missions. The update will also add a brand new zone, featuring the outskirts of New Eridu. We get a brief glimpse of this new place where the next chapter will be set, along with some mysterious Sons of Calydon characters.
HoYoverse is also offering a number of activities for those lucky enough to attend the event in Germany, including cosplay parades, stage performance, a whole lot of rewards, new merch, and a partnership with a food brand for genshin impact themed snacks.
