Genshin Impact and The Discovery channel are launching a special “Teyvat Nature Discovery Tour” event, and a special documentary to raise awareness about the environment and dangers to the natural world.
The “Discover Traces, Explore Nature” event begins March 16th and offers a chance at Ptimogems and a new furnishing, the Serenitea Pot “Let the Desert Bloom”. To get that item, you’ll have to complete online challenges featuring Kaveh, the tour’s spokesperson. To represent the five habitats of Teyvat will be five characters–Albedo, Beidou, Candace, Kokomi, and Tighnari.
As part of the partnership, there’s also an 8-minute documentary that features narrators representing five of the environments on Earth. It takes us through these landscapes to explore them and appreciate their role on Earth, while also paying attention to some of the damage and threats to their natural beauty and very survival.
Narrating for the Ocean is actor Kit Harington, most known for his role as Jon Snow on Game of Thrones. The Coral Reef gets its voice from author and environmental activist Lily Cole. The Snowy Mountains will feature narration by athlete Max Djenohan, who has featured in several Discovery Channel shows. The Forest will be voiced by author and presenter Kate Humble, known for her nature work. Finally, the Desert’s voice will be explorer Ed Stafford, known for adventurous work on Discovery shows.
Genshin 4 Good will also be raising money by selling off Genshin Impact merchandise at sites in The UK, Germany, France, Italy, and Korea. All funds raised from the limited-time sale will go to environmental organization Good Earth.
The collaborative effort looks like another way for the Genshin community to learn, get involved, and even get some goodies to enjoy in game.
