Gametap Subscribers to Access Beta

Myst Online: URU Live has announced that Gametap subscribers will now have the chance to play in the final stage of the beta, gaining them a look at the game's story. Players in the beta will be able to carry their characters with them intot he game's launch.

THE STORY OF "MYST ONLINE: URU LIVE" BEGINS TO UNFOLD FOR GAMETAP SUBSCRIBERS; NEW CONTENT ADDED TO SITE

Today, GameTap brings to life the underground empire of D'ni and officially sets the story of "Myst Online: Uru Live" in motion. To celebrate the rebirth of this great empire, current GameTap subscribers now have exclusive access to the final stage of the beta and can enjoy a sneak peek while becoming a key part of the "Myst Online: Uru Live" story before the final game launch. Unlike most other massively multiplayer games, characters created during this exclusive beta preview will live on once "Myst Online: Uru Live" is launched in early 2007.

Changes are occurring within the great cavern. You are invited to discover who is responsible for the new beginnings and what changes are planned for the future. Join the rebirth, cross paths with the visionaries, and get in on the ground floor because new Ages and unexpected happenings are just around the corner. Additionally, new content has been added to the recently launched http://www.GameTap.com/mystonline website. Among the latest offerings is a brand-new video trailer for "Myst Online: Uru Live." This trailer provides a brief glimpse into the complex and expansive universe of the latest incarnation of the legendary Myst series that is being published and co-developed by GameTap. The website also features a list of co-creator Rand Miller's Top 10 favorite GameTap titles and a Making Of feature that takes fans of the series behind the scenes for a closer look.
