Game Update 100 to Require All-Access Membership

EQ2Wire has posted a live blog of last week's Spring Update live stream when several members of the EverQuest 2 team discussed Game Update 100. One of the things the team caught was the reveal that Game Update 100 would require membership to play and to use items.

We reached out to Daybreak Game Company for clarification of the information presented which, as it turns out, is true:

GU100 is content for players with an All-Access Membership. The zones (Zek AND Fabled) will require a membership to zone in. Some items from these zones will be Prestige (items that require a membership to use). There's no SKU price for this content. It's a bonus for players with a Membership.
