Ethyrial: Echoes of Yore recently got a big update that adds free movement, two brand new dungeons, and more improvements.
Free movement is here, so you can freely move characters across the grid without having to be limited to tile by tile movement. Movement will still use the tile grid for pathfinding purposes, but overall, this is a big change to movement that should make things feel more fluid.
The world has also gotten a number of improvements, including the addition of Dragon Brute, Moonspawn, Moose, Turtle, and Wasp Primoridial Spirits. Additionally, monsters that were in the 20 to 30 level range that had missing spells have their spells now, so make sure you're ready. The Oath Games team has also tuned resistances and weaknesses for all monsters.
Also in the update are brand new dungeons, Temple of Ethersalos and Warrens of Thought. Warrens of Thought is suggested for 3-5 players around level 12. Team up to explore the dungeon, uncover some secrets, defeat the rats that took over the labyrinth, and of course, hopefully make out with some valuable loot. there's new gear, trinkets, and mounts.
Temple of Ethersalos is a level 24-25 dungeon located southwest of Edrivine. Maybe you can handle a bunch of scurrying rats, but what about some dragonkin and a fierce dragon? Well, Bruce the dragon has taken the opportunity to judge humans and declare them unworthy of worshipping Ethersalos, the great dragon. It's your job to stop Bruce and his allies.
These are the showy features in the update, but there are more improvements to be discovered. Some of them are still waiting to be found. two new talents have been added to secret locations, and the team says that a previous update added another talent that no one has actually found yet.
There’s more on all of the changes over at the Ethyrial: Echoes of Yore Steam page.
