Fractured Online’s second major update since its Early Access release is now live. Titled ‘The Invasion,’ the update adds demons, racial traits, a repair and recycle feature for items, new legends, cosmetics, and more.
Dynamight Studios had intended to release Planet Tartaros, home of the Demons during early access, but made the decision to pivot in order to focus its efforts on game polish, improving the new user experience, and fleshing out the game’s end-game content offering.
While Tartaros won’t show up until a post-release update, the studio wanted to get Demons into players’ hands early, and this latest update adds two of the three planned Demon sub-races to the game: the Blood Demons and Hellfires.
The ability to repair items, a feature long requested by players, is also available with this update. A repair feature is now available at all major crafting stations, allowing players to repair their items to full durability. There is a chance to fail a repair, however. Each failure will reduce the item’s quality tier by one. If it’s reduced to Poor quality it can no longer be repaired. The chance to fail depends on the current durability of the item. The lower the durability the higher the failure chance. Items reduced to 0 durability will be broken and can no longer be repaired regardless of quality status.
