Fractured Online’s first major post-launch update, The Hunt, is coming alongside a free week to try out the game. In the update, expect new summons, a new quest system, emotes, and some balance changes and fixes too.
New summons are coming in the update, adding some flexibility to one of the highlight features from this year. Not just one or two. There are 11 new summons, the Arctic Wolf, Direwolf, Skeletal Mage, crystal, ice, fire, and storm Elementals, plus, Arboreal, Mountain, and Ember Dragonlings. The Dragonlings are Ultimate, 5 control slots level, and belong to the school of Hunting, powerful, and the strongest in the game but also designed to be well-rounded. They promised dragons, so here they come.
Some of the other summons provide an equivalent to a different one that already existed, but with a twist that suits a different playstyle. One example given is the Direwolf is a more offensive alternative to the Bear. A Skeletal Warrior is more DPS-oriented than a Skeletal Knight. And there's more to discover, which should be bolstered by a number of improvements to Summoner gameplay, including targeting and behaviors for the summons themselves.
Another big feature in the update is the introduction of Adventurer Tasks. The system gives you you a new mission daily that you can complete for rewards. These range in difficulty level, from 1-5, and you can complete them by hunting in certain areas. You can reroll quests that you don’t like or try to reroll to get a harder, more rewarding difficulty level. VIPs can reroll three times a day and regular accounts get just one daily reroll. You can also save some quests for later, and not miss anything, with the number depending on your rank.
To accompany the major content update, they're also launching a free week, which will actually last for nine days. Sign up and download the Fractured Online standalone launcher and log in anytime from Friday August 16th at 1:00 p.m. UTC through Sunday, August 25th at 8:00 a.m. UTC.
