Fractured Online has gotten its first major update, The Hunt, which adds 11 new summons, as a free play week also begins. For some players, however, they've had to deal with a rollback after a failed server save.
The server rollback became necessary because the team noticed that in the world of Aerhen, While saves looked correct, ones made after a certain time had actually been corrupted. This means player cities, land parcels and other player made things were part of these corrupted saves. Banks are actually not part of the world, Dynamight notes, so those were fine. Instead of rolling back everything by 21 hours, they've only rolled back Aerhen.
The bug that caused this issue has been fixed, and the dev team is offering help to restore items, but only if you suffered a significant loss in the rollback.
The Hunt update itself is full of significant additions. There are those new summons, including the first dragons. Arboreal, Ember, and Mountain dragonlings are strong and balanced, and fit into the Ultimate, 5 control slots category. Other new options include a Direwolf, Arctic Wolf, Skeletal Mage, and four Elementals - Crystal, Fire, Ice, and Storm.
The Adventurer Tasks system has arrived, offering a daily objective for rewards (with the ability to store these for later as you rank up). Emotes have also finally arrived after being promised. Fractured Online has been localized into Italian, with French, Spanish, and Portuguese coming down the line.
There are some balance passes, mostly buffs, on armor, races (Hellfire Demon and Blood Demon specifically), and several adjustments to Trials.
Today also begins 9 days of free play, through August 25th at 8:00 a.m. UTC.
